About the Role Basic‑Fit is looking for an

Architectural Engineer

to join our international Property team. In this role, you will work across the entire process of building new clubs and renovating existing ones— from design development and standardization to on‑site execution and quality assurance. With more than 1,600 clubs across Europe and hundreds of new builds, renovations, and rebranding projects each year, you will have a direct impact on the evolution and performance of our clubs network. Thisposition combines

technical design expertise ,

process optimization , and

hands‑on construction coordination . You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and international teams to ensure our clubs are designed, built, and renovated to the highest standard.

What You Will Do Design&Development

Contribute to the

development and standardization

of design concepts and construction processes across countries.

Design and review

club layouts

and propose improvements for functionality and member experience.

Provide architectural and technical advice on materials, layouts, acoustics, and technical installations.

Support the

optimization of renovation workflows .

Collaborate with BIM specialists to integrate

BIM

into project development.

Work closely with concept developers, calculators, and internal stakeholders.

Construction&Execution

Act as a key point of contact for

general contractors and suppliers , ensuring smooth project preparation and execution.

Follow up and support contractors on permitting processes, ensuring the correct start of the construction works.

Monitor construction progress, assess delivered clubs, and ensure compliance with Basic‑Fit

quality guidelines and standards .

Coordinate with external auditors and ensure contractors follow the latest design and execution guidelines.

Conduct

site visits

during construction and at delivery to address issues and propose solutions.

Support maintenance and corrective works with technical and architectural input.

Ensure alignment of works with

budget forecasts

and planning.

Who You Are You are an organized, proactive, and solution‑oriented construction professional who has an eye for design development and practical execution. You enjoy being part of a dynamic international environment and feel comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and projects.

You bring:

A degree in

Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management .

3–5+ years of experience

in construction, ideally in retail environments.

Strong communication skills in

English ; Spanish, French, Dutch or German is an advantage.

Experience in

technical design

and

construction coordination .

Knowledge of

BIM

is a plus.

Flexibility to travel regularly across Europe.

The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other teams and stakeholders.
