Internal Audit Intern, Hoofddorp

Overview As an Internal Audit Intern, you will be part of an open and dynamic environment where you will be exposed to a broad accounting scope, learning or further developing your knowledge about internal controls, business processes, risk management and consulting activities at a $4Billion NASDQ listed multinational company.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the IDEXX Global Internal Audit team on cross-border projects in EMEA and/or Asia Pacific.

Perform SOX controls reviews and testing and execute substantial audit procedures for revenue.

Experiment with robotic process automation (RPA) and potentially participate in international projects.

Gain practical experience in general internal audit practices at a US-listed company and understand how a larger corporate operates and how business processes are set up.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Business Management student with a Finance, Accounting or Audit/Assurance focus, with love for numbers, good communication skills and the ability to multitask.

Fluency in English is required in an international environment.

Ability to be assertive, take initiative and work independently.

Good organizational skills and proficiency with Excel.

Professional attitude with attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

Details

You need to be enrolled as a student toward attaining a degree to be eligible for this internship and to secure university approval to start the assignment. If you are not an European national, you will also need to provide an approved Nuffic agreement.

You are available to start in August 2026 and can work with us for 5-6 months full-time (40 hours a week).

This internship is not suitable as a thesis internship.

Office location: Hoofddorp, next to the train station. This is a hybrid position that enables you to work from home and in the office in alignment with your manager.
