As a Sales Support Associate at IDEXX, you will provide support to the sales team in your region and act as a liaison between the sales professionals and internal departments. You play a vital role in the overall health and advancement of the region’s objectives. You will ensure all checks and balances are in place in the lead‑to‑order process, provide transactional support to ensure successful and efficient execution of business transactions, and generate smooth onboarding for customers.

This role is a temporary position of 1 year duration.

Responsibilities

Partner with the commercial ecosystem on sales proposals while balancing the needs of the customer and the business. Investigate and resolve inquiries or concerns. Escalate situations that cannot be resolved through current processes. Proactively identify opportunities to positively enhance our service offering.

Understand the organizational structure, customer agreement lifecycle, products, services, marketing programs and pricing. Demonstrate resourcefulness and follow policies, procedures and program guides.

Build trust and confidence with the commercial ecosystem through honesty, integrity and authenticity. Drive results and meet service level agreements by prioritizing and planning work to ensure tasks are completed on time.

Contribute to customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention by partnering with the commercial ecosystem to develop creative solutions that meet customer needs.

Use SalesForce.com to approve the setup of new SAP accounts.

Support the achievement of revenue, gross margin and operating expenses as per target.

Ensure the sales team adheres to pricing policies, submits paperwork correctly and follows audit guidelines.

Perform daily reporting of instruments sold, installations and pipeline for internal use.

Participate in projects to implement initiatives, identify opportunities, and generate ideas and solutions.

Communicate with related areas to coordinate work.

Potentially lead work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance.

Engage in personal development to enhance professional growth.

Qualifications

Initiative to drive tasks and targets independently.

Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel and, preferably, SalesForce.com and Business Objects.

Project management skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams within a matrix environment.

Keen eye for detail and experience in data gathering.

Process improvement skills.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate, communicate and work with a range of stakeholders across the organization.

Fluency in Business English and French.

Presentation skills to explain business requirements to all audiences.

Influencing skills to gain commitment and support for decisions and business changes.

Prioritization and planning to meet deadlines and stay focused amid distractions.

Effective collaboration with the commercial ecosystem in local language and conversational English.

Ability to manage conflict and ambiguity, resilience and emotional intelligence.

Commercial, business and financial acumen.

Trustworthy partner to sales professionals, supporting complex financial sales proposals while balancing customer and company needs.

Advanced knowledge of products, services, systems, programs and processes, with proactive identification of improvement opportunities.

Strong interpersonal skills: customer‑focused, conflict management, complexity management, and stakeholder balancing.

Ability to build strong relationships across multiple regions and interact effectively with sales leadership.
