At HeadFirst Group, we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to ensure reliable and well-organized payroll administration within a rapidly growing organization. You will be part of the Finance and HR team and will work closely with colleagues and other internal departments.
What will you do? In this role, you will be responsible for the monthly payroll processing for approximately 400 employees in the Netherlands. You will ensure that salaries are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, you will work on further improving and optimizing payroll processes and contribute to a future-proof payroll administration system. You will work with AFAS on a daily basis and will also be involved in the implementation of Workday as our new HR system.
Handling all payroll administration and payroll processing
Processing and verifying personnel and payroll changes
Managing pension plans, insurance, and other employee benefits
Answering questions from employees and management regarding salaries, pay stubs, and policies
Identifying and implementing changes in laws and regulations
Providing support for audits, inspections, and issues related to payroll taxes
Preparing reports and analyses for HR and Finance
Contributing ideas on process improvements and further automation of payroll processes
Collaborating with HR, Finance, and external parties to ensure that administrative processes run smoothly and accurately

What we expect from you
A completed associate’s degree in HR, finance, or a related field
PDL is a mandatory requirement
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll administration
Experience with AFAS
A thorough understanding of Dutch laws and regulations
An affinity for reporting, auditing, and numbers
Proficiency in Dutch and English
An independent, meticulous, and organized approach to work
