Senior Buyer - Offshore Oil/Gas, Hoofddorp

EMEA Recruitment is supporting an international business in the search for a Senior Buyer to drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across a global supply base.

This role will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement leadership to ensure continuity of supply, quality performance and long-term supplier partnerships, particularly across mechanical and electronic components. Ideally you will speak Dutch.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer: Develop and implement sourcing strategies, selecting and managing suppliers for assigned commodities Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements to secure optimal value and quality Support purchase order management to ensure smooth production and supply continuityConduct supplier evaluations, audits, and development programmes to drive performance and improvement Act as a key liaison across Procurement, Engineering, and Production to resolve supplier issues Support the global procurement strategy and ensure compliance with internal processes and ethical standardsMaintain accurate procurement and master data in Oracle

Ideal candidate: Degree in Business, Engineering, or Procurement-related discipline 5+ years’ experience in global procurement within complex industrial sectors Strong negotiation skills and experience sourcing mechanical or electronic components Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;Fluent English is required, Dutch is an advantage ERP experience (Oracle preferred) and willingness to travel up to 20%
