About the role Marian, 58, sits in a wheelchair and would like a walking partner once every two weeks to accompany her on city walks, visits to the IJsselmeer or the city beach, and to enjoy coffee, tea, or ice cream together. Volunteers may also help Marian with gardening tasks or shade‑creating activities.

Responsibilities

Walk with Marian in her wheelchair, providing companionship and ensuring her safety.

Assist with gardening tasks such as weed removal for Marian.

Drive clients to and from day‑care activities at Lindendael in Hoorn (if a driving licence is available).

Engage in light conversation, puzzles, or games while spending time with senior or intellectually disabled clients.

Qualifications

Possession of a valid VOG (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag) is required.

Valid driving licence required for driving tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and willingness to assist elderly or intellectually disabled individuals.
