Service Engineering Manager
in the Huizen site, within the
Services&Delivery Management
department, responsible for developing, deploying and managing innovative or changed Service&Delivery concepts and contracts, and for the execution of remote and on-site service contracts, as well as post-delivery support and ongoing customer contact during operations. Responsibilities
Develop, deploy and manage innovative or modified Service&Delivery concepts and contracts. Execute remote and on-site service contracts. Provide post-delivery support for already delivered products and services. Maintain and manage customer contacts during the operational execution. As Service Engineering Manager
you are broadly responsible for the design, setup and rollout of new or changed services for existing and new customers. Activities include: Define service requirements for both customer needs and the Thales organization and align with the Engineering Delivery Manager to jointly establish a project baseline.Define related new or changed service processes, KPIs and assess the impact on the existing organization. Gather cost estimates for setting up and executing the services and contribute to client proposals. Lead the setup and configuration of new processes, instructions for services and the associated tooling.Keep service processes and instructions in our quality management system up-to-date together with the operations management team. Identify possible improvements in services and related processes and instructions and address them with key stakeholders. Collaborate with all disciplines within management and development (engineers) to continuously raise the maturity of our service organization.Be part of a results-driven team to maximize and optimize the customer experience with other internal disciplines. Work independently with a high degree of self-direction. These activities are performed as a contributor or as the responsible work package manager during the bid phase of a new opportunity and also during the project phase after contract signing up to handover to the Service Delivery Manager.About The Job
In the bid phase you work in a multidisciplinary team under a capture lead to prepare a proposal for the customer, in collaboration with an Engineering Delivery Manager focusing on technical requirements while you bring in the service processes, required tooling and organizational setup. You also contribute cost estimates (partly prepared with input from the standing service organization) and provide texts and structure for the customer proposal, documenting it in a service file.After the customer approves the offer, you become part of the project team to develop and roll out the service processes and related elements to the existing organization. The end result is a successful handover of the new services or service changes to the current service organization. In addition to bid or project work, there are internal improvements to service processes, tooling and organization which you will coordinate and implement with stakeholders. Your regular work location is Huizen, but may be at other locations depending on stakeholders, including other Thales sites or customer locations.You enjoy working across multidisciplinary teams and thinking with various stakeholders to sell, shape and roll out new services. About You
You have an HBO+ level of education and a background in technical business studies or similar, with knowledge of logistics concepts, service delivery and aftercare in a technical environment. Lean and process analysis/optimization are areas you know. You should have an affinity with technical solutions and enjoy deepening knowledge in such solutions and applying it. Process-driven work in setup and execution with financial insight is essential, balancing customer interests with internal Thales interests. ITIL knowledge is required and to be applied and transferred.You are a team player in a self-managed team, solution-oriented, responsible and capable of neat administrative handling. You understand that accuracy and quality are more important than speed and keep the customer experience in view at all times. Good communication skills in Dutch and English are required. As we operate in a high-security environment for civil and defense customers, passing an MIVD screening is required and the phrase“Dutch eyes only” applies.Thales Offers
