Offshore Wind Turbine Technician— HV Maintenance, IJmuiden

Overview Vestas NCE is responsible for sales, construction, and servicing of wind projects in Benelux and other European markets. The Service Sales department works with multiple functions in an international environment to deliver on Vestas' "profitable growth" strategy.

Location: Region NCE&Global Offshore– Global Offshore – Luchterduinen.

Purpose: The Vestas Offshore Service department oversees service and maintenance of wind turbines in the North Sea within the Netherlands. The department fosters teamwork, good communication, and an informal culture that supports growth.

Responsibilities

Develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines.

Perform daily maintenance and other field‑related tasks.

Responsible for electrical and mechanical operations.

Cover installation activities, use of systems such as Condition Monitoring / Remote Control, and create follow‑up orders.

Work with high voltage.

Maintain the highest safety and environmental standards while ensuring targets are met, as part of a team of Technicians (f/m/d) operating throughout the region.

Carry out periodic inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications, including component replacement (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic) and system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Experience and degree in electricity or mechanics.

Hydraulic experience.

Basic knowledge of MS Office.

Very good knowledge of Dutch and English.

Driver's license class B.

Comfortable with working at heights and at sea.

Safety awareness.

Open and friendly attitude in a team setting.

Good organisational skills.

Good interpersonal and customer‑relation skills.

Additional Information As you will go home everyone daily in this role, residence near or in IJmuiden will be required, preferably within 40 km.

This is a Dutch national contract; therefore Dutch residency and a work permit are required. Relocation will be taken into consideration, however, at the applicant's own expense.
