Database Administrator, Leeuwarden

Overview Our client is looking for a

Database Administrator

to help manage and improve the reliability and performance of their systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining database environments, supporting the underlying infrastructure, and ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and scalable.

You will work closely with technical teams in an

Agile environment

to monitor system performance, implement improvements, and ensure high availability of critical applications.

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize database environments and supporting infrastructure

Monitor system performance and implement improvements where needed

Manage database administration tasks and ensure system reliability

Support the design and development of infrastructure components

Contribute to maintaining high availability and stability of platforms

Qualifications

Experience with

Microsoft SQL Server

and database administration

Familiarity with technologies such as

Ansible, Splunk, Couchbase, Windows Server, and Linux

Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g.

C#, Java, PowerShell, JSON )

Comfortable working in

Agile teams

and taking ownership of tasks

Fluent in

Dutch (spoken and written)

Experience in the

education sector

is a plus
