Project Manager, Viral Safety and Cell Banking
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Leiden B.V., part of the globally operating Eurofins Scientific network, is a leading GMP‑certified contract laboratory serving the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. Based at the Leiden Bio Science Park, we provide a comprehensive range of microbiological, viral, chemical, and physical quality control testing for pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. In addition to our standard test packages, we develop and validate product‑specific methods in close collaboration with our clients, and we also offer small‑scale manufacturing services.This vacancy is for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex scientific and technical projects within our GMP‑certified analytical laboratory. In this role you will guide multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, from defining requirements and scope to experimental execution, validation and deployment, while maintaining rigorous project management processes and ensuring the highest quality of experimental data and documentation.Responsibilities
Establish project teams for new projects, including laboratory technicians, subject‑matter experts and logistics. Provide a solid project‑management workflow with clear organization and scientific context. Manage timeline development, scope definition, budget forecasting, and risk mitigation.Continuously assess project progress using data‑driven metrics, adjust scope, timelines, or resource allocation to ensure requirements are met. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing transparent communication on project status, risks, and changes. Develop and maintain structured processes for managing scope throughout the scientific project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to quality, reproducibility, and performance standards.Oversee the organization and integrity of experimental data, research documentation and multi‑stream project information. Communicate project milestones, outcomes, and risks to leadership, escalating issues when necessary in accordance with project protocols. Be able to set up new project‑management processes.Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology or a related field. Extensive project‑management training. Professional certification such as CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2 is considered a plus. Four or more years of project‑management experience in a scientific, technical, or research‑intensive environment in GMP.Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding timelines, resource planning, and compliance with scientific or regulatory standards (USP, EP, JP). Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, and leadership across multiple levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.Dutch is considered a plus. Benefits

Travel allowance of 23 cents net per kilometer; public‑transport travel expenses fully reimbursed via NS Business Card. Participation in a pension scheme with 50% contribution by Eurofins.
