About the Role Our stores play a vital role in connecting with consumers and driving brand experience. As Assistant Store Manager, you will lead by example, build a stellar team, and elevate the customer journey. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to hit sales targets, maintain visual standards, manage staffing, and deliver world‑class service.
Responsibilities
Lead the store team to generate sales, profit, minimise losses, and create an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the shop is visually distinct and impeccably maintained.
Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration and creativity.
Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to ensure alignment and clear communication.
Partner with the Store Manager to build business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
Focus staff on the importance of quality relationships with customers and ensure accountability for building a repeat customer base.
Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels and inventory.
Communicate sales drivers and challenges to the Store Manager and develop strategies to maximise business.
Analyse store‑level reports and create action plans for improvement.
Assist in manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing and hiring of store personnel.
Build bench strength for key positions, including potential successors.
Participate in weekly management meetings and staff meetings.
Clearly communicate sales goals, performance expectations to staff and guide improvements.
Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.
About You
Have a track record in supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand.
Experience in people management with a focus on resolving conflict and fostering teamwork.
Effective communicator with the ability to cultivate belonging and inclusivity.
Collaborate to win, recognise, and celebrate contributions and achievements of others.
Show courage in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
Adapt fast and work with pace in a dynamic environment.
Exude energy and inspire trust with a credible presence on the shop floor.
