GXO is expanding its state‑of‑the‑art distribution centre in Lelystad, and we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help lead the next phase of growth.
Your role as Operations Manager
Leading daily operational execution within your rotation, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient outbound and dispatch activities
Driving performance through KPIs, dashboards and data insights; identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Championing LEAN, continuous improvement and process standardisation to maintain scalable and consistent operations
Coaching and developing Warehouse Managers and their teams, including performance management, training and succession planning
Planning and allocating staff, workload and resources across shifts in close collaboration with support functions and the customer
Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging working environment, maintaining up‑to‑date procedures, documentation and compliance standards
Working closely with and reporting directly to the Head of Operations, aligning on priorities, performance expectations and execution
What We’re Looking For
Apple’s Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or business, supported by strong analytical skills
5+ years’ experience in a complex, high‑volume warehouse or supply chain environment, ideally with exposure to automation
Proven experience managing managers and leading large teams (50+ employees) with the ability to influence across multiple levels
Strong communication skills in English (additional languages such as Dutch, German, French or Spanish are a plus)
A hands‑on, resilient and results‑driven approach, with the ability to perform under pressure without compromising standards
Strong analytical, reporting and financial understanding, with the ability to turn data into action
A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine motivation to grow personally and professionally
Ability to work shifts which includes nights and weekends (Shift allowance is payable)
