Senior Network Engineer IP - Infrastructure, Maastricht

Join our TeamAbout this opportunity:As a Senior Network Engineer, you will work in a highly technical environment where you are responsible for the full lifecycle of IP network solutions. We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to strengthen our team in Maastricht. In this role, you will design and deliver high and low-level IP network solutions for our customers, working end to end from design, lab testing, integration, and implementation to final acceptance. You will collaborate with a wide team of telecom and IT professionals and work with the latest hardware and technologies.What you will do:Translate High-Level and Low-Level Designs into implementation plans and configurationsSet up and maintain lab environments, including router configuration and validationExecute network changes in line with Change Management processesSupport deployment and operations teams with technical expertisePerform network modelling, analysis, and capacity planningLead technical discussions with customers and advise on architecture and technology choicesCreate technical documentation, presentations, and proposalsContribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.The skills you bring:You recognize yourself in the following profile:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similarCisco CCNP certification (minimum)5–10 years of experience in IP networking and infrastructure engineeringStrong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and project deliveryAccurate, analytical, and comfortable working in structured environments with high-impact network changesFluency in EnglishDutch proficiency is a plus.You have strong knowledge of:Metro Ethernet, MPLS, Unified MPLS, Segment RoutingExpert-level skills in routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP v4/v6 – iBGP and eBGP)Cisco hardware (ASR1k, ASR9k, Nexus)Network automation (Python, Ansible, REST/NETCONF, YANG/JSON/YAML)VPN technologies (EVPN, Inter-AS VPN, Carrier Ethernet)High availability features (NSF, graceful restart, BFD, link aggregation)Service provider virtualization (e.g., Cisco ACI).What we offer:A technology-driven international organizationAccess to training, courses, and opportunities to obtain certifications (including Cisco)Flexible hours with hybrid home/office work.International career opportunitiesProfessional expert groups and communities.Why join Ericsson?At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
