(Junior) Buyer E-commerce 38 hours per week (full-time), Zwaagdijk
At Action, the fastest-growing international non-food discount retailer in Europe, we are looking for a driven, highly commercial (Junior) Buyer to strengthen our e-commerce Buying team. In this role, you constantly search for the most surprising“must-have” deals at incredible prices, maintain relationships with suppliers across Europe and the Far East, and ensure the right deals are available at the right time.
Responsibilities
Manage the procurement of weekly online-only deals from A to Z, covering categories such as garden items, toys, and cooking&baking supplies.
Collaborate closely with marketing, digital, and supply chain teams to achieve e‑commerce objectives.
Determine the composition of the e‑commerce assortment based on customer demand and new product scouting.
Prepare negotiations with current and potential suppliers and work with the stock planning department to ensure product availability.
Continuously monitor the market to guarantee Action can offer the lowest prices for unique products in all operating countries.
Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercial, entrepreneurial, cost‑conscious professional who thrives in an international, dynamic environment. You are assertive, analytically strong, and have a strong sense of responsibility. You enjoy working in teams and can translate sales data into concrete new product ideas. Experience in retail and/or e‑commerce and affinity with the products is preferred.
Qualifications
HBO‑level education, preferably in a commercial or retail‑related field.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in retail/buying.
Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
