Overview We recruit a
Onderofficier Monteur Voertuig Systemen
(Vehicle Systems Mechanic Officer) for the Dutch Landmacht. In this role you will serve as both a mechanic and a leader in training and operational environments.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair wheeled and tracked vehicles, weapon systems, equipment and associated accessories.
Provide technical advice to commanders and users on vehicle deployment, use and upkeep.
Manage the group materiel entrusted to you, including vehicles, weapons, tendons and tools.
Liaise with the vehicle system technicians for major maintenance or severe defects.
Train and supervise your subordinate technicians as part of your command duties.
Qualifications
Completion of the VeVa (Bedrijfsautotechniek) programme at level 3 (or equivalent) is preferred.
Can be aged 17–30 years; physical fitness and the ability to pass a medical clearance are required.
Good organisational and leadership skills are essential.
Proficiency in Dutch is mandatory.
Benefits• Salary: €3.300 – €3.650 per month (may increase with experience and rank) • Annual bonus of €4.800 • 23–30 days of annual leave (carry‑over possible) • Free driving licence (Class B) at no cost to you • Comprehensive training: first the Under‑Officer Training at the Royal Military School in Ermelo, followed by specialised courses at the Defence Logistics and Technical Service in Soesterberg. If you do not yet possess a driving licence, a supplementary driving course is offered at the Oirschot Training Centre.
