We are growing fast and are therefore looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with leadership skills to strengthen our team. The role In this position you have a leading role within a multi-disciplinary team of embedded hardware and software engineers. The team is end-2-end responsible for the design, implementation, testing and transfer to manufacturing of embedded products for a wide range of applications. We work for leading customers from various sectors, but we have a clear focus on industrial and medical products. It is your role to take charge in translating our customers’ requirements into quality technical solutions and leading the team in implementation. You are focused on creating cooperation and a positive atmosphere in the team to ensure successful delivery to our customers.

Who are we looking for An experienced software engineer with an affinity for electronics. A natural leader who can create a vision on a product architecture and translate and communicate this in such a way that the team can successfully implement the solution. You are able to create a software architecture and design and ensure quality of output through a structured development and testing approach. As a leader within the team, you focus on the shared success of the team and create a spirit of cooperation and safety. With the team you are continuously improving, and you stimulate learning. You cooperate with stakeholders, both internal and external, and you are the interface between the team and these stakeholders. Therefore, you are communicative, capable to work together and look for the best solutions in a complex environment.

In terms of knowledge and experience you bring the following: experience with structured development processes (requirements analysis, system design, integration, and test methods) strong architecture, system modelling and design skills (e.g., UML, Yourdon) knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programmingexperience with programming (C) of ARM microcontrollers (e.g., STM/Nordic) experience with wireless technologies (e.g., WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC) experience with embedded Linux and RTOS, like FreeRTOS knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., RS 485, SPI, I2C) eager to learn and apply new technologies10 years of relevant work experience BSc / MSc level of education Dutch and English language proficiency
