What will you do? As an Operational Excellence&Business Controller, you are the architect of our future operational standards. You will move beyond simply seeing "what we earn" to understanding "why we earn it" or "where we lose it" through deep profitability analysis and process mapping.

You will bridge the gap between financial control and daily operations, working closely with all departments to ensure that every improvement we implement is both manageable and highly impactful. Thanks to your analytical rigor, Van Herk Kaas will achieve a "Single Source of Truth" for all its data.

A glimpse into your responsibilities

Process Mapping&SOPs: Conduct "As-Is" analyses and design concise, flowchart-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order processing, inventory, and supplier approval.

Operational Excellence: Eliminate unnecessary bottlenecks and duplicate approvals to ensure an agile, professional value chain.

Financial Control: Implement financial discipline through procurement "three-quote" rules, authority matrices, and regular receivables aging reports.

Profitability Analysis: Break down product-based costs (raw materials, labor, overhead) to drive data-driven decision support.

Supply Chain Oversight: Standardize inventory traceability, waste management, and FIFO/FEFO applications.

Digitalization: Maximize the use of our ERP to create real-time Management Dashboards and automated alert mechanisms for critical thresholds.

In addition

Develop a Task and Responsibility (RACI) Matrix for the organization.

Conduct "Testing" phases for new procedures with the relevant teams.

Perform New Product Development (NPD) financial simulations.

Ensure compliance with Dutch regulatory food safety and labor laws.

Who are we looking for?

HBO/WO work and thinking level in Finance, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.

An analytical "problem solver" who thrives on data hygiene and standardization.

You work accurately and prefer simple, effective solutions over heavy bureaucracy.

You have a natural ability to conduct interviews and facilitate "Change Management" within a team.

A "90-day Quick Wins" mindset to maintain current momentum while building for the long term.

Prerequisites

Mastery of English in both speaking and writing.

Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling.

Experience in the food industry or logistics environment.

Provisional

Experience with Microsoft Business Central (Business Dynamics) or similar ERP systems.
