Product Design Intern Start date : August/September 2026

Duration : 6 months

Allowance : 625€ per month (40hrs, 5 days)&full reimbursement of travel expenses

Platform/Project : Formulation and ingredient functionality in Emulsions

Location : Nijmegen

Internship in the R&D center within the Product Development Technology Team, working on emulsion-based products.

Assignments and key activities

Literature research for further ingredient understanding and related functionality.

Prepare lab and pilot plant samples for physico-chemical&sensorial analysis.

Perform analytical&sensorial tests, analyze data and report results.

Support product developers/process technologists with lab&pilot trials.

Understand fundamentals of food sensorial evaluation.

Basic Requirements You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus).

EU students: Enrolled at a university for at least 50% of the internship duration.

Non‑EU students: Enrolled at a Dutch university for the whole internship duration.

NOTE:

EU working rights are required (EU citizenship, studying in the Netherlands, or relevant student work visa).

Specific Team Requirements

Passionate about Taste, Nutrition and Planet and highly motivated to contribute to growth.

Proactive attitude and enjoy working in the lab or pilot plant.

Knowledge of ingredient functionality and basics of food processing.

Familiarity with emulsions preferred.

Enrolled at a university studying Food Science/Technology sector.
