Proces Operator, Nijmegen

This is what you will be doing:

As a Process Operator, you are an essential link in our Winding department, where we proudly wind and process copper cables for tomorrow's electricity supply. You are responsible for applying or removing insulation material, entirely in accordance with the specified orders. The windings you make will vary from 1,000 to 16,000 kg, depending on the specific requirements. You will work in a 3-shift schedule and your tasks will include:Preparing the mold: You will adhere to transformer hygiene standards and actively share your valuable knowledge with new colleagues.

You will thoroughly study the schedule and work order.

You will check that all necessary parts, materials, and tools are available.

You will make an informed choice of the correct mold and diameter based on your knowledge of materials and the work order.

You will prepare the mold with various materials and select and attach the flange according to the instructions.

You carry out the final finishing and submit the mold to the All-round Chief Winder or Operations Team Leader for inspection.

Clamping: Place the wound mold in the clamping pit using an overhead crane.

You finish off any protrusions according to the specifications using pressing and cutting tools.

You perform woodworking with sawing machines.

Remove the mold and transport it to the correct workplace using an overhead crane.

Prepare the windings for the oven according to established procedures.

Transport the clamped winding to storage or to the next workstation using an overhead crane, according to the schedule.

What you bring to the table:

Relevant (technical) education and practical experience.

Knowledge of transformer hygiene and experience in winding.

You are a team player with strong communication skills.

You are proactive and can contribute ideas for improvement.

You are willing to work shifts.
