A leading Dutch yacht builder is looking for a Mechanical Draftsman to support the design and engineering of complex luxury yacht projects. The company is currently expanding following a major reorganisation and has multiple active new-build projects running simultaneously. The role focuses on mechanical layouts, piping integration, 3D modelling and system coordination across high-end yacht builds, working closely with Project Leads, Engineers and production teams.This is a long-term opportunity within a technically strong and highly collaborative engineering environment.

Role Responsibilities Create and modify mechanical and piping layouts for luxury yacht projects Develop and maintain P&IDs and mechanical schematics Integrate piping systems and mechanical components into 3D vessel models Coordinate installation spaces between hull, interior and mechanical systems Position and integrate components including engines, shaft lines, generators, hydraulics and stabilisers Review supplier drawings and technical documentationSupport calculations, estimations and technical feasibility checks Work closely with Project Leads, Engineers and production teams throughout project execution Support both repeat-platform and fully custom new-build yacht projects

Requirements Experience as Mechanical Draftsman, Mechanical Designer or Piping Designer Strong

3D CAD background

within mechanical or maritime environments Experience with

CATIA / Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE

preferred Siemens NX

or other advanced 3D CAD backgrounds also relevant Experience producing P&IDs and mechanical system layouts Understanding of piping systems, HVAC, hydraulics or shipbuilding systems Able to work independently within multidisciplinary engineering teams Yacht building, shipbuilding or maritime experience strongly preferred English required, Dutch is preferred
