Proposal Engineer, Kinderdijk

Overview

Your role as a Proposal Engineer will be essential to the Functional Discipline Engineering within Royal IHC's Life Cycle Engineering department. You will contribute to customer solutions for the adaptation and upgrade of integrated equipment, systems and structures on operational dredging and offshore vessels. You will support the sales colleagues through the entire proposal cycle, from lead generation to after sales.Responsibilities

Orchestrate the full proposal process from tender qualification to hardware delivery and after sales. Assist sales and proposal managers with engineering quotations. Help clients define their requests and create concepts that solve their challenges. Manage internal stakeholder coordination to gather necessary information.Prepare cost calculations and corresponding quotations for EPCI contracts. Act as the primary contact for clients on awarded projects and support project managers with change order management. Participate in lessons‑learned sessions and integrate findings into future proposals. Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related field. Relevant work experience in a similar role within the maritime or offshore industry. Proficiency in 3‑D CAD software and a willingness to learn complex technical vessel systems. Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.Proactive, creative and flexible attitude. Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Dutch is a plus. Valid EU work visa. Benefits

Gross monthly salary between€3,497 and €5,100 plus an 8% holiday allowance. 40 vacation days per year; possibility to buy or sell additional leave.
