Product Engineer, Roermond

A highly technical and innovative aluminium extrusion manufacturer in the Netherlands is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a Product Engineer.

This position acts as the key technical link between customers, sales and production, taking ownership of projects from the initial customer enquiry through to successful first production.

The role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical engineering knowledge with customer interaction, manufacturability optimisation and project ownership within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Managing technically complex new product introductions Translating customer requirements into manufacturable and cost-efficient solutions Optimising aluminium profile designs and technical specifications Supporting customers during development and co‑engineering processesWorking closely with sales, production and technical stakeholders Supporting technical quotations, feasibility studies and cost calculations Coordinating projects from concept through to serial production Driving continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes Supporting CAD optimisation and maintaining accurate technical documentation

Profile Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar technical discipline Experience within product engineering, R&D, manufacturing or extrusion environments Strong CAD knowledge (2D/3D– AutoCAD / Inventor preferred) Understanding of extrusion technology and manufacturability principles Experience working within project-based technical environments Knowledge of machining/manufacturing processes such as CNC milling, drilling or sawingStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong communication skills in Dutch, English and ideally German
