Design Lead Location: Rotterdam / Hybrid Experience: 8+ years Focus: UX, UI, Design Systems, AI

The Role: At many agencies, becoming a Lead means becoming a manager. You sit in meetings and delegate the real work to juniors. Not here. As our new Design Lead, you own the digital product, from the first moodboard to the final pixel-perfect delivery in Figma.

You'll work side by side with the CCO and other Design Leads. You are the sparring partner for our clients. You're not afraid to defend a vision, and you know exactly how to turn a complex challenge into a scalable Design System.

What you'll do:

• You take the CCO's strategic vision and independently develop it into award-winning design. • You present your own work, lead workshops, and argue your choices based on rationale, design principles, and data. • You build complex UI systems, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. You are amaster of Figma.• You don't design individual pages, you design ecosystems that are technically feasible, and you collaborate with our developers to safeguard both creativity and scope. • You mentor ambitious talent. You teach them the finer points of the craft while maintaining quality yourself.

Who you are:

• You have at least 8 years of experience at top-tier digital agencies, with a portfolio full of complex platforms and web apps. • You are an expert in UI and Design Systems, but you understand UX and business strategy like no one else. • You are honest with the team and the client. If an idea doesn't work, you say so. If it can be better, you make it so.• You're energised by making things. You're faster and sharper than three mid-levels combined. • You speak fluent Dutch and professional English, given the international nature of DPDK.
