Senior Application Consultant, Rotterdam

The purpose of this role is to work with the business and associated teams to craft new solutions using Adobe Campaign, Redpoint or Unica. This role serves as a subject matter expert on campaigns and campaign platforms, and provides guidance and oversight to other campaign resources. This role is able to provide direction and guidance on integration of marketing technologies and tools.Job Description:We are seeking a talented and motivated Campaign Developer with strong Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping clients create highly personalized, data-driven customer journeys and CRM campaigns. Collaborating with marketing teams, data specialists, and designers, you’ll develop, implement, and optimize multi-channel campaigns within the Salesforce ecosystem that drive customer engagement and business growth. You’ll primarily work with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Data Extensions.Key Responsibilities:Campaign Development: Design, build, and implement automated customer journeys and CRM campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud that deliver impactful results.Execution&Optimization: Execute campaigns, monitor performance, and continuously optimize workflows, segmentation, and personalization to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.Testing&Troubleshooting: Conduct comprehensive testing, manage quality control, troubleshoot technical and data-related issues, and refine processes to ensure seamless campaign delivery.Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including strategists, analysts, developers, and designers to ensure campaigns meet client expectations and are delivered to the highest standards.Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, releases, and best practices, incorporating new techniques and technologies to improve campaign automation and performance.RequirementsProven experience as a Campaign Developer, CRM Developer, or Campaign Engineer with hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.Strong understanding of SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and AMPscript to support campaign development, personalization, and automation workflows.Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Data Extensions.Strong knowledge of CRM and marketing automation concepts, including segmentation, customer journeys, and data integration within Salesforce environments.Excellent analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot and optimize campaigns.Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality campaign execution.Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly present ideas and results.What We Offer:An international working environment with colleagues from around the world.A challenging position at a successful company in a growing market.Plenty of time for fun activities at work, including foosball, table tennis, themed meetings, parties, and more.3 extra days off (yes, at Merkle we take your well-being very seriously) - in addition to 25 annual vacation days, there are 3 Well-being Days.2 Social Impact Days - you can volunteer for a charity of your choice.Extensive learning and development opportunities, including a wide range of personal and online training.A hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in the office and the rest working from home.A competitive salary and excellent secondary benefits.Company DescriptionMerkle, a dentsu company, powers the experience economy.
