Internship Tasks&Responsibilities
Consistently create and publish various types of content for our online channels (e.g., interviews, blog articles, infographics, photo series).
Support digital marketing by creating marketing material and campaigns (e.g., ad copy or email content).
Support tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns.
Support the organization of events (offline and online).
Support managing communication with external stakeholders such as prospective students, alumni, partners, etc.
Support managing our CRM (data entry and email marketing).
Support student communication and contribute to the improvement of education management.
Assist with general and ad‑hoc department activities.
Job Requirements
The candidate should be a student at a Dutch or foreign university (with a residence permit for the Netherlands if not an EU citizen) in a graduate/undergraduate (Master/Bachelor) study program that requires a work placement or internship.
Creative and proactive attitude in teamwork, but also able to work independently.
Able to work on several things at the same time and meet deadlines.
International (work) experience in a multicultural environment is an asset.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Very strong organisational skills.
Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
Specific Skills
Students must have successfully completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines: International Business, Communication, Marketing or similar. Any related work experience in those fields is an asset.
Candidates must have a strong affinity for marketing and communication. Interest in urban sustainability as well as visual communication and design is an asset.
Knowledge, experience, and interest in one of the following topics is an asset: communication and marketing concepts, basic marketing theory, digital and online tools, research and analysis.
Knowledge of Adobe Suite and basic video editing skills are appreciated and will be considered when choosing candidates.
Employment Conditions and Benefits What we offer
Compensation of
500 euros
gross per month (regardless of educational level) from 1 January 2025.
Compensation for travel costs to/from work (for a distance of up to 15 km).

Terms&Conditions
IHS will establish an internship agreement that states the terms and conditions of the internship. This document needs to be signed by IHS, a representative of the intern’s university and the intern. Candidates that cannot provide university approval for the respective agreement cannot be accepted.
The candidate must have a Dutch residence permit valid for the total period of the internship or be an EU citizen. Candidates without a permit cannot be accepted.
The internship position is available in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for up to
six months
(preferred duration) and requires a presence of 40 hours per week, working regular office hours.
The duration of this internship will be from August 2026 until January 2027. Concrete dates will be discussed depending on the available starting date of the candidate and the availability of the internship at that particular time.
