IT Support&SAP Coordinator (Japanese Speaking)

About the role At

IKO

Nippon Thompson Europe, we are looking for an independent IT Support&SAP Coordinator who will act as the main IT point of contact for all European branches. This is a standalone role within the European organization, meaning you will take ownership of IT-related coordination, support and communication across the business. As there is currently no dedicated internal IT department in Europe, you will play a key role in building structure, improving processes and supporting users across multiple countries.You will also act as the main liaison between Europe and the IT team in Japan, supporting communication, issue coordination and system-related improvements. The role combines IT support, SAP coordination and operational process improvement within an international business environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Act as the primary IT point of contact for all European branches Ensure compliance with European environmental regulations, including but not limited to PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation) Provide technical support by resolving hardware, software, network and printer issues, both on-site and remotelyInstall and configure workstations, software and hardware components Perform system monitoring and scheduled maintenance to ensure functionality and stability Support and coordinate SAP usage and system-related improvements Assist employees with daily IT-related issues and provide user guidance and trainingCreate and manage user accounts and access permissions Coordinate with IT teams in Japan regarding incidents, projects and improvements Work with external IT vendors and service providers where required Identify and support process improvements across the organization Support onboarding activities from an IT perspectiveMaintain documentation related to IT systems and processes

Essential Skills and Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows/macOS), hardware and networking basics Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users Experience in IT support, IT coordination or helpdesk-related rolesSAP or ERP system exposure is required Ability to work independently and take ownership in a standalone role Fluent in Japanese (mandatory) and English Based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate

Nice to have Experience with SAP S/4HANA Experience in an international or Japanese organization Experience coordinating with external IT vendors Environmental Compliance knowledge or experience is considered a strong plus
