The Position As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who matches the technical and practical requirements of our client in the Naval industry.

The role implies designing and realizing control panels from concept to final documentation. This includes milling panel cut-outs, placing components, PCBs, and equipment (excluding cabling), and preparing metal and assembly drawings. Starting from a 2D concept, you will develop a fully fitting 3D model with complete technical documentation for applications such as bridge control stations, wing stations (IP‑rated, waterproof, rubber‑sealed), and compact panels.

Designing sheet‑metal components and assemblies

Designing panels and cabinets for electrical installations

Working with

Inventor

and

Vault Pro

in a professional engineering environment

Translating 2D concepts into complete 3D models and technical documentation

Coordinating designs with software and electrical engineers

Your Profile

You have a Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or a closely related field

You have experience with

Inventor

and

Vault Pro

You have experience designing in sheet metal

You have experience

designing electrical panels and cabinets

You have strong communication skills

You are available to work on‑site in Schiedam ~3x per week

Appreciated experiences

Multiple years of experience in the Marine, Offshore, and Heavy Machinery industries

Experience as a Mechanical Engineer (Radio Zeeland, Vryhof Anchors)

Experience as a Project / Installation Engineer (Ivy Global, Enersea, ECE Offshore)

Experience with calculations and structural engineering

Experience with Inventor, Sheet Metal, AutoCAD, SolidWorks

Experience designing control panels, including bridge control stations and wing stations

Experience setting up prototypes for a production line of equipment
