Job Description Senior Manager, Operations– Lenti Viral Vector Facility, located in Sassenheim, The Netherlands.
Accountable for running the manufacturing of lentiviral vector used in CAR‑T treatments, ensuring compliance with EHSS, cGMP and production schedule, and driving the ramp‑up to full capacity.
Responsibilities
Deliver manufacturability and operational input for the ramp‑up and continuous manufacturing.
Develop and implement the change‑control strategy for operations.
Own the documentation strategy and execution for operations ramp‑up.
Lead and coordinate the operations model for reliable batch delivery.
Ensure operators are trained to execute their tasks accurately.
Ensure relevant documentation is approved to support manufacturing.
Ensure disposables and raw materials are qualified.
Ensure production areas are GMP certified.
Develop long‑term strategy for Advanced Therapies in Sassenheim.
Maintain budget, headcount model and CIP for operations.
Build and maintain a network within JBV, other J&J sites, and external parties such as regulatory agencies, contractors, partners and vendors.
Share best practices across JBV and J&J sites.
Act as a delegate of the site head.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in (bio)science, process engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years practical industrial experience.
Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
Technical Knowledge:
Excellent command of Dutch and English (reading, writing, speaking).
Strong awareness of EHS&S.
Excellent cGMP awareness and experience.
Supply‑chain knowledge – principles and priorities in effective supply‑chain management.
Understanding of market dynamics and economies of scale, supply, and demand.
Performance management– measuring success against agreed standards and KPIs.
Data gathering and analysis– collecting, synthesizing, and using data analysis tools to support decision making.
Benefits The anticipated base pay range:€82,900.00 – €141,100.00.
In addition to base pay, benefits include an annual bonus (target 10% of salary, dependent on performance), vacation days, parental leave (minimum 12 weeks), bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well‑being reimbursement, financial and mental health programs, service‑anniversary rewards, and eligibility for multiple insurance plans (subject to location and plan terms).
