Job Overview
Manufacturing Operators are needed for the USP/DSP and Fill&Finish (F&F) departments at the new fully digital Lenti Viral Vector Facility in Sassenheim, Netherlands. The facility produces Lenti Viral Vectors for multiple myeloma treatment and will start commercial production mid‑2026. As a Manufacturing Operator you will support the installation and operation of new equipment and assist in daily tasks across the production process.Responsibilities
Support installation and operation of new equipment, drafting job breakdown sheets for training and work instructions. Execute daily tasks and supporting activities of the department according to procedures and detailed schedules. Perform GMP documentation activities, including raising process deviations, noticing process gaps and addressing them.Train operators and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Work safely and compliantly in line with GMP, EHS and quality standards. Core Tasks by Department
Upstream Processing (USP)
Culture and inoculate cells in shaker flasks and wave bags, including cell count, dilution and sampling. Daily monitoring of cell cultures (cell count, pH). Prepare and execute transfection processes, prepare Benzonase solutions, harvest and clarify sub‑products. Handle and document samples for USP activities.Downstream Processing (DSP)
Purify viral vectors using ion exchange chromatography, sterile filtration (including PUPSI filter integrity testing) and ultrafiltration/diafiltration. Handle and document samples for DSP activities. Fill&Finish (F&F)
Prepare isolators and filling equipment. Fill product in a Grade A isolator using an automated filling robot. Perform visual inspection of product vials, label vials and store product in downstream freezers. Qualifications / Requirements
MBO 4 or HBO education in laboratory&biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology or equivalent with proven experience in biotech or biopharma manufacturing. Hands‑on expertise in a BSL2 environment, focusing on cell culture, virus propagation, purification or Fill&Finish, while adhering to GMP and EHS standards. Strong English communication skills and the ability to analyse complex situations with high accuracy and independence. Adaptable, proactive team player ready to tackle challenges and work flexible shifts. Benefits&Compensation
12‑month contract with 1‑month probation period. 40‑hour work week, shift schedule to be implemented. 36 days of paid leave.
