Hydraulic Tester, Terneuzen

We are looking for a skilled and hands‑on Hydraulic Tester to join our team, where you’ll be responsible for testing a variety of hydraulic systems and components such as manifolds, hydraulic power units (HPUs), and both hydraulic and electric winches. Your daily tasks will involve setting up, calibrating, and executing functional tests using advanced test benches. You’ll be part of a compact team, currently consisting of two colleagues, working closely together to maintain high testing standards. This role goes beyond technical testing alone—you’ll actively collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions. Your contributions are vital to ensuring that all systems meet the rigorous performance and safety standards required in maritime environments. Key Responsibilities

Conducting test procedures and adjustments on hydraulic manifolds and related components using test benches.

Performing functional tests on HPUs, winches (hydraulic and electric), and other shipboard systems.

Commissioning HPUs and winches, ensuring flawless integration within ship systems.

Working closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Maintaining, calibrating, and optimizing test equipment and tools used in the testing environment.

Creating detailed test reports and ensuring accurate documentation of all results and procedures.

Education&Experience

Minimum of a technical secondary vocational (MBO) qualification or equivalent.

Demonstrable experience with reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and test specifications.

Basic command of technical English is required; Dutch language skills are an advantage.

Possession of a valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Holding a crane and hoisting certificate is a plus, or readiness to obtain it.

Strong interest in working with both hydraulic and electrical systems, and a proactive mindset in problem‑solving.
