Senior HPC Consultant, Amstelveen

This role is a Hybrid HPC Technical Consultant, expected to work 2 days per week from an HPE office while delivering end‑to‑end HPC solutions across the EMEA region, remotely or onsite. Responsibilities

Apply technical background and industry knowledge to deliver end‑to‑end HPC services, including hardware and software for massively parallel (MPP) super‑computer systems, clusters, and storage systems. Support the pre‑sales team in scoping and sizing HPC services. Plan and deploy HPC hardware and software solutions through to customer acceptance.Analyze, qualify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents with autonomy and expertise. Collaborate with team members, internal organizations, customers, and third parties such as DDN, Red Hat, Altair, Nvidia. Manage the customer relationship, including verbal and written communication. Be available to travel to customer sites across EMEA.Research HPC documentation and complete required training to maintain and develop HPC skills. Qualifications

Academic degree in a technical field. Analytical mindset, able to understand architectural dependencies of technologies in the customer’s IT environment. In-Depth Knowledge Of

Linux/Unix operating systems. HPC file systems. Workload managers (preferably SLURM or PBS‑pro). Cluster management systems. Networking and security. Server components: motherboards, memory, storage, network switches. Programming and scripting (e.g., Perl, Python, C++). Storage systems. High‑speed communication architecture.Analog and digital circuit theory and principles. Containerization and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm. Advanced customer service and customer‑facing communication skills. Additional Skills
