Your activities as an IT Security Engineer You will work as an IT Security Engineer for one of our clients with a special focus on your own development through one of our Talent Programs.
You are responding appropriately to security breaches and investigating how they could have occurred. Furthermore, devising and developing security plans for our client's IT infrastructure is at the core of this position. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
Aligning with business analysts for backlog refinements
Investigation of current implementations and solutions and improving these to new standards
Developing, building, maintaining and testing security systems and monitoring their effectiveness
Investigating vulnerabilities in hardware, software and applications
Collaborating with other stakeholders to always ensure an optimal level of security
Reporting to senior management on potential threats, proposed improvements and current security issues
On average you work 36 hours a week on a client project and you spend 4 hours a week on your own personal, professional and technical development in one of our Talent Programs.

What are we looking for? We are looking for graduates with different IT related backgrounds, experiences, and passions. Furthermore, you are energized by stakeholder management and are well adept at gathering reliable information. You use this in combination with a consultive mindset to make our clients more successful.
You have 0–2 years of work experience and want to learn everything about IT engineering
You want to put the skills you have acquired during your bachelor's or master's Cyber Security, Computer Science or another IT related study into practice
You have extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems and networks
You are familiar with one or more general operating systems (e.g. Linux, Unix, Windows), cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and common programming languages (e.g., Java, SQL, Python, C#)
You are able to troubleshoot complex security issues
You know your way around databases and network security systems
To apply, you need to live in the Netherlands and have no more than 3 years of work experience.
