Quantum Measurement Engineer, Utrecht

I am partnered with a a company focused on superconducting quantum hardware, looking to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer.

As a quantum measurement engineer, you will be a critical team player pushing performance of the company’s most advanced quantum processors. You will demonstrate the capabilities of our large QPUs in product development, acting as a critical player for continuous feedback loops. You will be working within cross-functional teams in Product, R&D and operations, translating complex ideas in collaborative environments. Taking leadership over tuning procedures and measurement repeatability is critical for the success within this position.

Your Responsibilities Develop Advanced Measurement Protocols: Create and refine protocols to improve quantum gate and readout fidelities Performance Characterisation: Tune and characterise new, large QPUs in advanced experiments and benchmarking routines Experiment design and execution Translate measurement insights into actionable feedback for wider team developmentsYou will work in cross-functional teams in product, R&D and operations You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of measurement campaigns Lead initiatives to improve tuning procedure and, measurement repeatability

Your Profile Extensive hands-on experience tuning and measuring superconducting multiqubit processors Deep understanding of quantum device behaviour Understanding of signal integrity challenges Proficiency in python and strong data analytical skills for quantum experiments
