Senior/Group Lead Cost Controlling Your role

As Sr/Group Lead Cost Controlling, you lead the global Cost Controlling team and play a key role in enabling the business to effectively manage and continuously improve Vanderlande’s global cost base and Service ("SUS") contracts in a standardized and scalable way.

The global cost base amounts to approximately€1 billion, spanning all domains (Airports, Parcel, Warehouse), regions and functions, including Engineering, Project Execution and enabling functions such as HR, IT and Finance. This scope covers 10,000+ employees, 600+ cost centers and 200+ cost center managers.

The team was established in October 2024 and is on a journey to deliver Lean&Effective Finance through standardization, automation and process excellence.

You report to the Director Technology Controlling and work closely with your team, Finance colleagues (Controllers, FP&A, Finance&Accounting) and senior business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading, coaching and developing a global team of approximately 10 direct reports across three regions

Driving the planning and performance cycle, including actuals, budget and forecast, and providing clear insights and advice

Designing and executing the standardization, automation and change roadmap within Cost Controlling

Acting as the global point of contact for Cost Controlling and Service ("SUS")

Strengthening collaboration between Finance and the business to improve cost transparency and decision-making

Your profile

A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy or a related field

10+ years of relevant Business / Cost Controlling experience in an international environment

Strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, coach and develop diverse teams

Solid stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities

A structured and detail-oriented mindset, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

A proactive and autonomous working style, able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and elevate when needed

Willingness to be regularly present at our Headquarters in Veghel

This position offers a competitive

salary range of€ 6535 to € 8870 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance) . Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
