As an IT Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing the architecture of future IT Solutions. This starts with an IT roadmap in the area of PLM/PDM, translating business demands into concrete, state-of-the-art IT solutions for ongoing projects. You will align with colleague IT Architects and Business Architects to ensure a balanced architecture across processes and applications. You are responsible for the IT architecture of applications in scope, mainly SAP, and will advocate the principles of business and IT, particularly enterprise architecture strategies.As Solution Architect, your responsibilities include: Analyzing the current architecture landscape to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements; Promoting the enterprise architecture process and its outcomes; Designing and leading the implementation of applications based on the target architecture and Project Start Architectures;Overseeing evaluation and selection of hardware and software standards, and designing standard configurations; Challenging business requirements and processes to achieve fit in standard IT solutions rather than custom solutions, mainly within PLM, manufacturing, and logistics domains. Focus areas:Master data structures and processes in ERP and ME systems; Ensuring integration and alignment between various PLM systems; This position involves international travel to our factories in the US and Taiwan approximately 4-5 times per year for 1-4 weeks, depending on project needs.
