Take ownership of the specification, design, and qualification of precision mechanical tools that are reliable, safe, contamination-free, cost-effective, and easy to manufacture and service within project constraints. The lead engineer reports to the group leader Manufacturing and Service Tooling and operates within multidisciplinary projects.Job Description

As a Lead Engineer, you are responsible for realizing precision mechanical tooling that meets safety, reliability, stability, contamination, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and serviceability specifications. You will work within a multidisciplinary project, guiding one or more designers, and interface with Lead Engineers, architects, and system engineers across projects. Your tasks include setting specifications for tooling, creating and validating new concepts, ensuring stakeholder consensus, complying with construction principles and standards, planning tooling development, optimizing designs with your team, establishing supplier contacts, and defining and executing qualification tests to verify tooling performance.
