WORKING GROUP IMPLEMENTATION CLIENTS COUNCIL SUPPORTER CLIENTS COUNCIL BuitenGewoon offers outpatient care and daytime activities for people with disabilities or psychological problems. We believe that everyone has the right to a dignified existence and can be an active part of our society; we are committed to that.At the moment we are working to give more substance to the participation of our clients by setting up a client council. A client council represents the interests of our clients in the context of the Care Institutions Participation Act. In addition, we would like to see the client council eventually grow into an ambassadorial role and as such represent BuitenGewoon to the outside world.We are currently looking for a support person who will guide the client council in the performance of its duties and the resulting activities. To guarantee independent support for the client council, we are looking for someone who can support the council on a voluntary basis. BuitenGewoon is a small, growing organization that gives shape to our mission with limited resources.The work

You advise and coach the council members in the field of expertise, development and role fulfillment based on your knowledge of and experience with client participation. If you do not yet have that knowledge, we offer you the opportunity to be trained at the expense of BuitenGewoon. In practice, this means that you guide the client council in concretizing the objectives; you organize and coordinate the meetings, promote and monitor initiatives aimed at participation and co‑determination, you contribute to policy development and help formulate advice from the council, among other things.What we ask

Given the nature of the activities, we ask that you have an HBO working and thinking level. As indicated earlier, we would like you to have knowledge of and experience with advocacy aimed at the target group, as well as knowledge of the Healthcare Institutions Participation Act and the developments in healthcare (GGZ / WMO). If you don't have that, we ask you to be prepared to read up on it and to follow the necessary basic training.We also ask that you have a sense of proportion and that you can deal well with sometimes conflicting interests, organize well and switch between different levels of thinking. Also that you can put yourself in someone else's shoes and that you can motivate, stimulate and coach them well. Good oral and written expression skills are in order, so that you can provide secretarial support to the client council.Our offer

We offer you a varied volunteer position at a small, growing organization with an enthusiastic team. You can develop with us through your contacts with our clients, fellow organizations and other stakeholders. You can use the number of hours flexibly at your own discretion and need and, in terms of regular sessions, comprise approximately 200 hours on an annual basis. Project and theme meetings can provide some extra hours.Of course we provide the necessary resources, a volunteer allowance and reimbursement of your expenses.
