Overview
Are you a technical expert who loves to travel the world? As a Field Service Engineer at Royal Houdijk, you’ll combine on‑site service, troubleshooting, training and international travel to keep our installations running for (international) customers. Key Responsibilities
Prepare for service requests by reading and analyzing drawings, documentation and software. Investigate faults and decide whether to resolve them remotely or visit the customer on site. Communicate with the customer and maintenance departments, ensuring a proper handover and final inspection of the entire line.Collect test data, monitor testing progress and maintain thorough documentation, including recording hours. Collaborate with fellow engineers, managers and the customer to find the best technical solutions. Provide instructions and training to customer staff such as operators and maintenance technicians.During the initial period work in the Assembly department to gain hands‑on knowledge of our technologies. What we offer
A base monthly salary between€3,980 and €5,300 (based on 40 hours) complemented by a generous project/overseas allowance; your salary can sometimes double depending on travel frequency. Well‑arranged accommodation when you are abroad and assistance with restaurant choice. 27 vacation days plus 13 additional leave days.Travel expense reimbursement. Good employment conditions in accordance with the Metalektro collective labour agreement, including a solid pension scheme. Internal and external training and presentations to continuously maintain your technical product and system knowledge, with plenty of room for professional growth.Key Qualifications
Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent via work experience (MBO level or higher). Knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and mechanical construction. Experience with dynamic drive systems and modern PLC control technologies (knowledge of Rockwell and Beckhoff controls is a plus).Willingness to travel abroad regularly, sometimes on short notice, for extended periods (2–4 weeks) to assemble, commission and service installations. Ability to communicate and report clearly, both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English. Possibility to provide a certificate of good conduct (VOG) may be required.About Royal Houdijk
