Workshop Supervisor, Flushing

Workshop Supervisor: Job Description The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical equipment on the Yard. This includes engines, generators, compressors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other related machinery. The Workshop Supervisor ensures the Yard systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

He also provides technical support for projects upon request.

Role and Responsibilities

Conduct routine and preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical failures, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.

Maintain the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) updated.

Place necessary material requests and follow up.

Ensure continuous operation.

Diagnose complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.

Manage stock of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for maintenance and repair.

Maintain safety&security standards of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.

Ensure maintenance teams respect good HSE practices and clean their work areas at the end of each shift.

Exemplary in wearing mandatory PPE (Safety Shoes, Gloves, Coverall + Red Helmet).

Exemplary HSE behaviour&educational attitude towards all users of the site.

Ready to intervene in the event of an emergency.

Prepare maintenance reports, work orders, and other necessary documentation.

Ability to lead&manage a team.

Ability to train, advise&supervise others in their maintenance duties.

Knowledge (specify relevant areas).

Good English proficiency (international environment).

Chief Engineer or relevant experience in offshore / marine / oil&gas maintenance.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office editing tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Proficiency in Planned Maintenance Software&Systems (PMS).
