Do you want to work with technology and actively contribute to the energy transition? Then read on to learn more about the opportunities at De Groot Hijstechniek. Because wind energy is the future… maybe yours too! As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you are responsible for performing the annual inspections of the service lift and all work equipment inside the wind turbine.
You’ll work in a small team of technicians and gradually develop into an independent specialist in your field. De Groot Hijstechniek will support you with training and certification programs. Your daily tasks include inspecting, diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing components within the turbine. Youperform maintenance and inspections on both electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
You’ll work at various locations across the Netherlands, sometimes in remote areas, so having no fear of heights is a must.
During your training period, you’ll learn:
How to carry out the annual service lift and work equipment inspections;
How to identify and prevent electrical and mechanical faults before they cause downtime;
How to perform service and repair activities safely and professionally in accordance with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
Our experienced colleagues will make sure you feel at home quickly and learn all the ins and outs of the trade.
What do we expect from you?
You have a flexible mindset and don’t mind working outside regular hours or staying away from home for projects;
You are comfortable working at heights and enjoy being outdoors;
A background in E&I (Electrical&Instrumentation) or Mechanical Engineering is an advantage but not a requirement;
Most importantly, you have a passion for technology, whether gained through work experience or as a hobby;
If you’ve previously taken a different career path but want to move into a technical role now, this is your chance to make it happen.
What’s in it for you?
Competitive employment conditions in accordance with the Metal&Engineering Collective Labour Agreement
25 vacation days per year and pension accrual via the PMT Pension Fund;
Opportunities for training and certification to develop your technical expertise;
Annual refresher courses to keep your knowledge up to date;
A spectacular work environment with amazing views— working on wind turbines means working at unique locations.
