In your role, you form the link between the Animal Food Bank and the media. You will proactively contact journalists and editors from local media outlets, explain the foundation and provide information. In addition to this regular role, you may occasionally visit distribution points on‑site to understand who we serve and how we do our important work, allowing you to convey our message more effectively.You also have a good command of Dutch, as writing press releases, newsletters, and other communication is part of your responsibilities. As a growing foundation, we need you to take regular action to secure the spotlight. What responsibilities do you have?

You contribute to and develop our communications policy and plan, and help implement them. You are involved in the further development of our website together with our online content manager and the board. You proactively reach out to local media to generate positive publicity for the foundation.You ensure that press and media are correctly informed about the foundation. You stay informed about what is going on within the foundation and proactively advise the board about potential communication expressions. You ensure appropriate communication materials that contribute to the foundation's visibility, in close contact with the board and the online content manager.You are the first point of contact for the media from the foundation. When necessary, you act as the connecting link between the media and the foundation's board. You attend the biannual general volunteer meetings and other activities and events as much as possible.
