Job Description As a Business Development Manager at Trunkrs, you are the driving force behind our growth. You are relentless in your search for new customers, always curious about their story and ready to seize every opportunity. No inbound lead escapes your attention— you follow up quickly and ensure no potential opportunity is missed.

But you don’t wait for leads to come to you; you actively go after them. Cold calling? Networking events? No problem. You know how to turn a cold prospect into a warm conversation through your expertise and personality. You thrive on building strong relationships and prefer face-to-face meetings to truly understand what a customer needs.

You believe that structured follow-ups and accurately documenting your actions are the foundation of success. Every interaction is carefully tracked in HubSpot— no detail escapes you. You know what you’re doing, and you show it. If something isn’t delivering results, you refine your approach like a true hunter: always improving, always learning.

Sales is a numbers game, and you play to win. Difficult conversations don’t scare you — you face them head-on. If a deal can still be saved, you’ll find a way. If not, you are clear and direct about the “no” and the reason why. You set expectations, deliver results, and ensure every step contributes to the growth of Trunkrs.

What Will You Do?✅ Generate new business — Actively identify and engage potential e-commerce customers, with a focus on food shipments. ✅ Achieve sales&revenue targets— Drive new shipments that contribute to the growth and profitability of Trunkrs. ✅ Manage the sales pipeline&processes— Use data-driven insights to optimize lead generation and conversion. ✅ Negotiate&close deals— Create compelling proposals and deliver winning pitches. ✅ Collaborate with internal teams — Work with commerce, operations, and leadership to strengthen our sales strategy.

Your Profile We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager who gets energy from winning new customers, with a strong focus on the food sector. You are a true go-getter who doesn’t stop until the deal is closed and enjoys celebrating success. With your strong communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and persuasiveness, you know how to inspire customers and build long-term partnerships.

What are we looking for in you? HBO level of working and thinking. At least 3 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or the food sector. Proven success in acquiring new customers. You are entrepreneurial, positive, and highly self-confident. Fluent in Dutch and English.
