Data Steward EDM, Zaandam

We are looking for a Data Steward with a strong passion for master data and biscuits. In this role, you will join the pladis Europe&Developing Markets (EDM) organisation and contribute to the mission to bring happiness with every bite.

The Challenge The Data Steward fulfils an important role within the pladis Europe&Developing Markets (EDM) organisation, working closely with business stakeholders (data owners/champions) to ensure that data is created and maintained to the required standard and in a timely manner. The role reports to the Manager Data Management Office and is part of the IS/IT department.

Your main responsibilities Master Data

Maintain master data in the ERP system (JD Edwards).

Register projects in the Data Management System (DMS) and on SharePoint.

Monitor and process all DMS requests.

Sense-check supplied master data.

Update user-defined tables in JDE.

Perform data cleansing.

Maintain data related to eco-tax requirements.

Generate new GTINs (barcodes) for entities.

Synchronize product data via the internal PIM system.

Maintain the Customer&Supplier Address Book.

Copack

Set up Bills of Materials (BoM) for copack activities.

Validate provided cost price calculations.

Carry out BoM housekeeping, including packaging updates and inactivation of obsolete items.

Price maintenance

Add or update purchase and customer prices.

Calculate cost prices and intercompany prices based on internal financial rules.

Be accountable for the Management Information System (MIS).

Prepare and execute the annual cost update process.

The Data Steward EDM is responsible for the daily data management of the sites within the region, in combination with their main sales market, including Verkade/Holland, BN/France, Pladis Belgium and Pladis Europe. The role works independently and makes decisions within agreed guidelines and procedures. The Data Steward discusses master data-related subjects with international colleagues and peers in other regions, understands the consequences of actions within the organisation and applications, reports possible issues in a timely manner, and helps colleagues with master data-related questions.

Education at HBO level in Data, Business, Logistics or Finance.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, or the ambition to learn and build the required knowledge and skills.

Experience with JD Edwards, SRC-PDM and GS1.

Familiarity with ecotax rules (Verpact).

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
