The Manager, Global Benefits is responsible for the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of benefits programmes across WWF International. Acting as the organisation’s global subject‑matter expert for Benefits, the role supports the Head, Compensation&Benefits in shaping benefits strategy and translating it into consistent, scalable, and cost‑effective programmes across the organisation. The role oversees vendor relationships, programme performance, and cost management, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective delivery, manage risks, and enhance the employee value of benefits in a complex global environment.Major Duties and Responsibilities
Benefits Strategy
Translate global benefits strategy into scalable, consistent programme design and implementation approaches, balancing global standards with local market requirements. Lead the global implementation and evolution of WWF International’s benefits frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and external market trends.Ensure adoption and effective application of benefits frameworks across the organisation, addressing gaps, inconsistencies, and risks. Monitor external market developments and internal workforce needs, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategy refinement. Own the governance and integrity of global benefits programmes, ensuring consistent application of policies, standards, and controls across the organisation.Establish and maintain clear guidelines, processes, and decision frameworks for benefits administration and management. Provide authoritative guidance on complex benefits cases and policy interpretation. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to benefits provision, including compliance, financial, and reputational risks, ensuring audit readiness.Oversee relationships with global and local benefits vendors, including brokers, insurers, and service providers. Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management, ensuring service quality, value for money, and alignment with organisational needs. Drive cost optimisation and financial sustainability of benefits programmes through effective vendor and plan management.Monitor vendor performance and service delivery, addressing issues proactively and driving continuous improvement. Benefits Operations and Programme Performance
Oversee the effective and consistent delivery of benefits programmes globally, ensuring high‑quality execution and positive employee experience. Ensure robust operational frameworks, tools, and processes are in place to support efficient and accurate benefits administration. Monitor programme performance, utilisation, and effectiveness, taking action to address issues and improve outcomes.Lead the implementation of changes to benefits programmes, including new initiatives, renewals, or redesigns. Analytics, Costing, and Insights
Own benefits‑related analytics, reporting, and cost modelling, providing actionable insights to support decision‑making. Develop and oversee benefits budgets, forecasts, and cost‑tracking mechanisms, ensuring financial discipline and transparency. Assess the impact of benefits programmes on cost, utilisation, and employee value, identifying optimisation opportunities.Translate data into clear recommendations to inform programme design, strategy, and policy decisions. Stakeholder Engagement, Capability Building, and Communication
Act as the organisation’s global subject‑matter authority for benefits, providing expert advice to P&C teams. Partner with Country Office P&C teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and understanding of benefits programmes. Build organisational capability in benefits management, developing guidance materials, training, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives. Promote and actively socialise WWF’s benefits offering, enhancing employee understanding, engagement, and perceived value.Profile
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field. 7–10 years’ relevant experience in benefits or total rewards, including demonstrated experience in managing and delivering benefits programmes within an international or matrixed organisation. Proven experience overseeing benefits vendors, managing programme costs, and supporting benefits‑related decision‑making at an organisational level.Professional certification in HR or Compensation&Benefits (e.g. GRP, CCP, equivalent) is an advantage. Required Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to interpret benefits data, costing, and trends to inform decisions, optimise programme design, and support organisational priorities. Strong planning and delivery discipline, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, lead workstreams, and ensure timely, high‑quality outcomes across a complex global environment.Demonstrated experience in managing benefits programmes and vendor relationships, including working with brokers, insurers, and third‑party providers to ensure service quality and value for money. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise, challenge, and guide stakeholders at different levels, including across multiple geographies.Sound judgement and decision‑making capability, with the ability to balance policy, cost, risk, and employee experience considerations in complex or non‑standard situations. Strong governance and risk awareness, with the ability to operate effectively within policy frameworks while ensuring compliance, consistency, and audit readiness.Ability to operate effectively in a complex, global environment, balancing global strategy with local market realities and constraints.
