Position Summary As Environmental Project Manager, you will support both the strategic deliverables (ESG reports, audits, compliance plans) and the operational execution of projects in French‑speaking regions. This is a hands‑on role where you will be involved in day‑to‑day communications, coordination of tasks, and follow‑up with internal teams and external stakeholders, and support to ensure that all contractual obligations, environmental analyses, and compliance processes are delivered to the highest standard, while keeping projects running smoothly and clients well‑informed.

Position duties and responsibilities

Operational Coordination:

Engage in daily communications with project stakeholders (clients, contractors, internal teams) to align on tasks, track progress, and resolve operational issues as they arise.

Deliverable Management:

Prepare and deliver high‑quality project documents and reports (ESG, H&S, stakeholder engagement, audits, waste management, etc.), ensuring deadlines and contractual conditions are met.

Hands‑on Problem‑Solving:

Tackle day‑to‑day challenges directly when possible (small technical clarifications, information requests, scheduling issues) instead of only delegating.

Environmental Analysis:

Conduct and interpret water quality and environmental data, integrating findings into client‑ready insights and reports.

Process Implementation:

Oversee the rollout of ESG, H&S, and compliance frameworks at the operational level, ensuring they are understood and applied by project participants.

Risk Monitoring:

Actively monitor project risks and escalate with clear context and proposed solutions when issues exceed the operational scope.

Qualification and requirements

Languages : Fluent in

French

(written and spoken) and strong professional

English . Able to manage day‑to‑day communications and produce professional reports in both languages.

Education : Degree in

Environmental Science, Water Quality, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field .

Experience : 1–3 years in environmental project management, ESG/H&S compliance, or sustainability operations within infrastructure, utilities, or environmental projects.

Environmental&Technical Knowledge : Solid understanding of water quality monitoring, environmental analysis, and ESG frameworks (e.g., stakeholder engagement, health&safety standards, waste management).

Operational Skills : Proven ability to handle day‑to‑day communications and coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of project tasks.

Compliance&Reporting : Demonstrated experience preparing structured reports, audits, or plans that meet regulatory and contractual obligations under tight deadlines.

Problem‑Solving : Evidence of structured problem‑solving in operational contexts not just delegating, but acting directly when required.

Organizational Skills : Strong planning, time management, and ability to manage multiple deliverables in parallel.

Location : Must already reside in the Netherlands (preferably within the Randstad area) and be available full‑time at the Zoetermeer office.
