Financial Controller, Zoetermeer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Controller based in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. The Finance Controller is a key contributor to both the global finance and operations functions of the Company.The responsibilities include accurate and timely preparation and analyses of the financial operations of the division, including financial statement preparation, cash management, budget preparation and analyses, accounts receivable, accounts payable and all other financial related duties.

Job Duties

Oversees and manages the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cost accosting/inventory and taxes

Develops and manages the monthly accounting close processes for the division

Prepares, reviews and analyzes the division financial statements to ensure accuracy

Establishes division KPI’s and performs analysis to develop protocols that enhance productivity, support company goals, and increase profitability.

Establishes, monitors and enforces policies, procedures and internal controls to minimize the risk of financial reporting errors and to safeguard the company assets.

Enhances NetSuite ERP system to ensure accurate accounting ledgers and improve efficiency

Leads the Division annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasting processes.

Manages and prepares supporting schedules for preparation of Sales, VAT and Income tax filings

Collaborates with other department managers and other division personnel to support the goals and objectives of the Company.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting

Proficiency in Accounting and Finance with a solid understanding of compliance and regulations

Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and provide data-driven insights

Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Familiarity with financial management software or ERP systems (NetSuite and Vena experience preferred)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable

Proven experience in financial management roles, preferably in a fast-paced or international environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders

European VAT experience is a plus

Full professional proficiency in English

Dutch language proficiency at B2 level or higher

Certificate of Conduct (recent, within 3 months)
