PIC Test Engineer, Zwolle

We are seeking a

PIC Characterisation Engineer

to support the development of next-generation integrated photonic technologies. This role focuses on the

test, measurement, and characterisation of high-speed photonic integrated circuits (PICs)

used in advanced optical communication and sensing applications.

Key Responsibilities&Requirements

Characterise high-speed PIC devices, including modulators, detectors, and integrated optical components.

Perform electro-optic testing using high-frequency measurement equipment such as VNAs, high-speed oscilloscopes, and BER testers.

Develop and automate optical and electrical test setups for device characterisation.

Analyse device performance and collaborate with design and fabrication teams to support device optimisation.

Apply knowledge of optical communications, photonic integrated circuits, and high-speed optoelectronic devices.

Utilise automated test environments or scripting tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB) where beneficial.

Degree in Photonics, Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, with hands‑on photonics characterisation experience.
